“Certain demographic groups have been the recipients of more legal scrutiny related to substance use than the majority of the population,” says lead researcher Cody Wenthur.
Study authors write, “Results showed significant and large reductions in the intensity of traumatic stress, depression, and anxiety symptoms from the 30 days before to the 30 days after a referent psychedelic experience.”
