As I mentioned in my previous video, the unfortunate fact is that the world is dealing with a second hidden epidemic: The Opioid Crisis. MindMed ( MMED/ MMEDF ) has a solution: 18-MC. Yes, MindMed has a diverse pipeline with other experiential drugs such as LSD for anxiety and psilocybin to treat ADHD. However, this psychedelic medicines company has its own proprietary compound (18-MC) to treat addiction which, if successful, cannot be copied by the upcoming competition. We may have a light at the end of the tunnel, and MindMed could potentially defeat the opioid epidemic threat, making MMED one of the best stocks for 2021.

Can Psychedelics Treat Alcoholism? New Psilocybin & DMT Studies Say YES

In today’s episode, we dive into two pre-clinical studies testing psychedelics’ effectiveness in treating alcohol-related illnesses.

In the first, researchers tested psilocybin (magic mushrooms) on mice who got addicted to alcohol. They found that the psilocybin helped repair a part of their brain that alcohol abuse damaged. This helped the mice make less neurotic decisions, and helped them abstain from alcohol.

This is promising, and if it can be repeated in humans, it would be a huge step forward in treating alcoholism.

The second study looked at the Ayahuasca brew, which has as its main psychoactive ingredient DMT. In this study, the researchers found that the mice who took the ayahuasca were less likely to seek out more alcohol.

Again, if this can be replicated in humans, it would show the powerful benefits of psychedelic medicines to treat alcoholism.

Psychedelics and mental health have long been a topic of research, and we are finally getting data that psychedelics like psilocybin and DMT may be effective in treating a variety of mental health conditions, such as alcoholism.

What’s up Psychedelic Investors? We all know that MindMed (MNMD / MMED) has been talking about eventually finding partners in the pharmaceuticals industry, but who will be that partner? One persistent Reddit theory posits that it will be none other than Johnson & Johnson. Could this just be a rumor? Perhaps. But depending on how you look at it, there is either some evidence for this theory…or some coincidences.

MindMed is a psychedelic medicines/psychedelic therapy company that is attempting to treat addiction, depression, anxiety and more with LSD, psilocybin (magic mushrooms), 18MC, and other psychedelics. But in order to scale up, they may need the expertise and global reach of a company like JNJ.

MindMed stock (MNMD / MMED) has been quiet for a while now, could a partnership with JNJ be exactly what the company needs? Will MindMed stock go up? Is MindMEd a good investment? Only time will tell!
