Silo Wellness Inc., a wellness company in the psychedelics and functional mushroom space, is offering ketamine-assisted psychedelics wellness retreats. Located on the McKenzie River in Oregon, the company has offered three so far this year.
“Silo Wellness is intent on helping people heal right now,” says Chief executive Officer, Douglas K. Gordon. “We have carefully crafted our Oregon retreat design in light of COVID-19 restrictions to permit participants to enjoy the healing power of nature in conjunction with their physician-led ketamine sessions.”
The five-day, six-night retreat focuses on the healing power of nature. Participants explore waterfalls and enjoy whitewater rafting, while also experiencing the therapeutic qualities of ketamine for personal growth.
“In essence, our retreats facilitate and integrate the potential epiphanies and insights that are gleaned while using psychedelics,” Gordon says. “In the case of both our Oregon and Jamaica retreats, nature is a vital component of that integration.”
Ketamine is an FDA-approved dissociative anesthetic used in medical and emergency settings. At higher doses, the therapy can have psychedelic properties. Off-label use of ketamine for psychotherapy is permitted by a prescribing physician.
All Silo Wellness retreats are conducted by an independent physician who qualifies and screens applicants, and provides consultations to each participant to ensure mental preparedness. The retreat team also includes pharmacologists, neuroscientists, naturopathic physicians and other specialists.
Silo Wellness also offers Legal Psychedelic Mushroom Retreats and Mushroom Grower’s Workshops in Jamaica, as well as free Heroes Retreats specifically for veterans and first responders. It also just announced the launch of a co-branded line of mushroom products in a partnership with the Bob Marley family.
