EOLPC's goal is to improve the end-of-life experience by using psychedelics in a responsible and therapeutic manner.
A new nonprofit organization called End of Life Psychedelic Care (EOLPC) has been launched this week. EOLPC aims to transform the end-of-life experience by utilizing psychedelics responsibly and therapeutically. The organization seeks to educate and offer compassionate care and support to patients during the end-of-life process. EOLPC believes that psychedelic-assisted care can assist in alleviating anxiety, depression, and emotional and spiritual struggles that frequently arise during life-threatening or terminal illnesses.
EOLPC aims to provide a comprehensive approach to end-of-life care by forming a team of professionals trained in psychedelics, mental health therapy, end-of-life support, and mind-body-spirit practices.
This team will work together to enhance the mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being of individuals facing life-threatening illnesses. EOLPC will offer a range of educational programs on psychedelic care and end-of-life issues to achieve this goal.
Nonprofit Launches Today to Integrate Psychedelic Therapy with End-of-Life Care
Sarasota, FL – May 19, 2023 – Today, End of Life Psychedelic Care (EOLPC), launches a groundbreaking nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming the end-of-life experience through the responsible and therapeutic use of psychedelics.
EOLPC's mission is to educate and provide patients with access to compassionate care and support during the end-of-life process. The organization believes that psychedelic-assisted care can play a pivotal role in easing anxiety, depression, as well as the emotional and spiritual challenges that often accompany a life-threatening or terminal illness.
In addition to educating consumers with a life-threatening illness, EOLPC seeks to provide a holistic approach by expanding the concept of an “end-of-life psychedelic care team.” The multi-disciplinary team would include psychedelic trained mental health therapists and facilitators, end-of-life doulas, hospice chaplains, and mind-body-spirit practitioners to support mental, emotional, and spiritual well being at this time of life. To that end, EOLPC will offer a wide array of educational programs addressing psychedelic care and end-of-life issues.
Stuart Sovatsky, PhD, EOLPC Advisory Board Member, a renowned psychologist and leading voice in the field of transpersonal psychology, remarked, “The launch of EOLPC marks a crucial step towards recognizing the profound healing potential of psychedelics in end-of-life care. By merging ancient wisdom with modern science, we aim to create a safe and sacred space for individuals to explore their inner landscapes, find meaning, and make peace with their mortality.”
EOLPC will offer a range of services, including educational classes in psychedelic and integrative wellness for end-of-life issues, an End-of-Life Doula training program, group preparation and integration sessions for consumers and their families, plus marketing programs for consumers to enable them to find professionals experienced in both psychedelic care and end-of-life issues.
The organization will also collaborate closely with regulatory bodies, research institutions, and medical professionals to advance the understanding of psychedelic-assisted care and advocate for responsible and legal access to these treatments for those in need. EOLPC is committed to adhering to the highest ethical standards and to fostering an environment of safety, integrity, and respect.
As EOLPC embarks on this transformative mission, the organization invites supporters, philanthropists, and healthcare professionals to join hands in creating a future where end-of-life care is marked by compassion, empowerment, and the profound potential for healing.
