Digital Therapeutics and Psychedelic Medicines || MindMed’s SECRET WEAPON?!? MindMed (MMED / MMEDF / MMQ) and Atai’s secret weapon lies in the digitalization of psychedelic medicines. MindMed has Albert, their Digital Medicines division, and Atai has their Brain Computer Interface.
Instead of doing our usual “This Week In Psychedelic Stocks episode”, I decided to discuss the article entitled “Digital Therapeutics: Optimizing Psychedelics Therapies With Next-Generation IP” as it pertains to MindMed and Atai and because there wasn’t a lot of interesting news for our usual Psychedelic segment.
Why should investors in psychedelic stocks be deeply interested in these technological advancements? According to Jeff Nielson, there’s two reasons.
1.Generally, next-generation digital technology (which includes the introduction of AI) is already pioneering a tech revolution in healthcare.
2.Specifically, psychedelics-based therapies are one of the areas of medical treatment that will benefit the most from this technology.

Meet Bright Minds: The NEXT GEN Psychedelics Company Tackling Pain, Depression and MORE (DRUG/BMBIF)
In today’s episode of the Psychedelic Spotlight Podcast, James Hallifax from the Psychedelic Investor YouTube Channel interviews Ian McDonald, CEO of Bright Minds BioScience. For any investors out there, Bright Minds ticker symbol is DRUG on the Canadian CSE and BMBIF on the American OTC market.
In this wide ranging interview many topics are covered, starting with the philosophy and vision of Bright Minds. Bright Minds is a company working on second and third generation psychedelics to treat a variety of ailments including depression, PTSD, epilepsy, addiction and more. The driving philosophy is that while classic psychedelics such as psilocybin and LSD do show great potential to be used in a therapy setting to treat mental health issues, the compounds also have limitations.
At Bright Minds, the goal is to engineer completely new compounds, often based on the structure of classical psychedelics, that keep the benefits of said drugs while doing away with potential negatives. Important to note is that while psychedelic derived drugs are a focus of the company, they also are creating non-psychedelic compounds for a variety of ailments, including different forms of addiction.
In the interview we discuss most of Bright Minds’ major projects, including using new psychedelic medicines to treat chronic pain. This is exciting, since it could not only help people with chronic pain issues such as fibromyalgia, but it could also put a dent in the opioid use crisis by preventing people from being prescribed opioids by their doctors to treat pain.

Can Next Generation Psychedelics Treat Mental Illness? | Mindset Pharma | DMT, 5-MEO-DMT
In today’s episode of the Psychedelic Spotlight Podcast, The Psychedelic Investor sits down with James Lanthier, CEO of Mindset Pharma (CSE: MSET, OTC: MSSTF).
Mindset Pharma is a psychedelic medicines company working on creating next-generation psychedelics to be used both in a therapy and microdosing setting.
Mindset has three variations of psilocybin, the active ingredient in Magic Mushrooms. Two of these are being used in therapy settings, and one will be used for microdosing. Finally, the company has one family of compounds inspired by DMT and 5-MEO-DMT.
Excitingly, Mindset is moving towards beginning clinical trials in 2022.
On the day that the interview was recorded, Mindset released some major news; they are teaming up with Otsuka Pharmaceuticals to bring two of their drug families to market. As part of this deal, Mindset will receive $5 million USD upfront, and then Otsuka will also pay for some development costs.
In the long term, this deal has great potential for Otsuka.
