Sarasota, FL – May 19, 2023 – Today, End of Life Psychedelic Care (EOLPC), launches a groundbreaking nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming the end-of-life experience through the responsible and therapeutic use of psychedelics.

EOLPC’s mission is to educate and provide patients with access to compassionate care and support during the end-of-life process. The organization believes that psychedelic-assisted care can play a pivotal role in easing anxiety, depression, as well as the emotional and spiritual challenges that often accompany a life-threatening or terminal illness.

In addition to educating consumers with a life-threatening illness, EOLPC seeks to provide a holistic approach by expanding the concept of an “end-of-life psychedelic care team.” The multi-disciplinary team would include psychedelic trained mental health therapists and facilitators, end-of-life doulas, hospice chaplains, and mind-body-spirit practitioners to support mental, emotional, and spiritual well being at this time of life. To that end, EOLPC will offer a wide array of educational programs addressing psychedelic care and end-of-life issues.

These professionals, trained in supporting the emotional wellbeing of clients as they face a terminal illness, are beautifully suited to soothe clients’ concerns surrounding a psychedelic journey, hold space as they experience one, and then help them find peace and joy going forward.”

Stuart Sovatsky, PhD, EOLPC Advisory Board Member, a renowned psychologist and leading voice in the field of transpersonal psychology, remarked, “The launch of EOLPC marks a crucial step towards recognizing the profound healing potential of psychedelics in end-of-life care. EOLPC will offer a range of services, including educational classes in psychedelic and integrative wellness for end-of-life issues, an End-of-Life Doula training program, group preparation and integration sessions for consumers and their families, plus marketing programs for consumers to enable them to find professionals experienced in both psychedelic care and end-of-life issues.

The organization will also collaborate closely with regulatory bodies, research institutions, and medical professionals to advance the understanding of psychedelic-assisted care and advocate for responsible and legal access to these treatments for those in need.
