Operating in the Netherlands, Red Light Holland Corp. (CSE: TRIP) (FSE: 4YX) (OTC Pink: TRUFF) grows and sells a premium brand of magic truffles to the recreational market, along with mushroom-themed merchandise, decor, and telecounseling services. The company now plans to partner with Wiz Khalifa to leverage the rapper’s significant social media presence and help grow the brand.

“We’ve been working with Wiz Khalifa and his team to collaborate and create a brand that encompasses our joint belief for the affordable and equitable access to naturally occurring psilocybin responsibly,” Todd Shapiro, Red Light Holland’s CEO and director, said in a statement. “Wiz Khalifa is a global icon with tremendous reach who is uniquely positioned to help us spread the message and end the stigma surrounding psilocybin while focusing on mental health and wellness.”

“When we launch the MISTERCAP products, including the MISTERCAP website, social media channels and merch – we plan on launching BIG TIME – so stay tuned, because Wiz Khalifa x Red Light Holland together are not afraid of shaking things up and making some much needed helpful noise. Together we are demonstrating that mushrooms are important, the future and can be very sexy!” – Todd Shapiro

While the magic truffles will be launching in the Netherlands to users 18+, Red Light Holland reported it will be monitoring potential future markets and will be ready to expand their psychedelic products when regulations permit. In the meantime, the company will be launching home grown mushroom kits under the MISTERCAP brand in the U.S., Canada, and Europe by the end of the fiscal year.

Red Light Holland’s Previous and Future Collaborations

Red Light Holland has partnered with well-known public figures in the past, notably with world class influencer & model Khloe Terae, as a clothing brand ambassador. Earlier this year, the company teamed up with comedy star Russell Peters to record his psychedelic journey with Red Light Holland’s natural psilocybin truffles and therapists in Amsterdam.

Red Light will also continue to focus on increasing revenues with many different kinds of mushrooms, from farming, distribution to consumer-packaged goods, creating a well-positioned company with a continued, constant and clever growth strategy. Khalifa’s Business Ventures

Wiz is no stranger to product deals either, in 2016, the rapper launched sales of his personal Khalifa Kush at Tryke’s Reef Dispensaries in the Southwestern U.S. and Michigan. He now has a full line of branded products, including flower, pre-rolls, vapes, edibles, and concentrates.

On April 20th, 2017, Wiz launched his mobile app, Wiz Khalifa’s Weed Farm, which has garnered over 10.1 million downloads and is currently being played in over eight countries and six languages. In February 2018, Wiz partnered with Sovereign Brands to create McQueen and the Violet Fog, an Award winning gin and rated by The New York Times as the “Best Gin.”

In 2018, he partnered with Canadian licensed cannabis producer, Supreme Cannabis Company, to launch a line of products in Canada, but the partnership was stubbed out two years later, due to the Canadian government’s promotion prohibitions, which ban celebrity endorsements. In 2020, Wiz Khalifa turned his focus toward munchies, launching nine “ghost kitchens” across the U.S. under the banner Hotbox by Wiz. While the food doesn’t contain any cannabis, it does pay homage to one of the rapper’s favorite pastimes with cannabis-inspired menu items.

As for his partnership with Red Light Holland, the rapper said that “launching MISTERCAP Magic Truffles in the Netherlands and creating other MISTERCAP natural mushroom products and Home Grow kits is gonna be dope. We are building something special and are excited to grow with the industry.”

In previous interviews and songs, Khalifa has been very vocal about his own personal psychedelic use. On the Joe Rogan Experience, Khalifa stated, “I fuck with mushrooms… I was able to see people’s true intentions because being a rapper… you being having to peel back the layers.” He added, “I do mushrooms every now and then… I’ll take that experience and just live with it.”

With all the attention this collaboration has been garnering, it’s only a matter of time before we see more celebrities joining forces with more power players in the psychedelic sector.
