Psychedelic dispensaries are opening up all over North America, here's an updated list of where to find them
Psychedelic sellers are toeing the line in North America, opening up mushroom dispensaries to display and sell their wares, hawking anything from the (perfectly legal) Amanita muscaria to microdoses to raw, packaged Penis Envy and Golden Teachers to even peyote. With laws slowly but surely changing and the public view also moving more left, it’s likely that more and more of these grey-area shroom shops will open up, as well as some that specialize in other, legal psychoactive goodies. We’ve compiled this list of open and existing psychedelic dispensaries that will continue to be updated as new stores come up on our radar.
Address: 579 West Pender, Vancouver, BC
Forest is a small and subtle shop on West Pender Street, made noticeable only by the small mushroom lamp in its window. The shop sells functional mushroom products such as tinctures and psychedelic wares as well, from bars to capsules to raw products. Keep your eyes peeled when walking by– it’s small but mighty and can be easy to miss. Their somewhat veiled website can be obscure, but rest assured we know they’ve got the goods. On a Vancouver lovers website, Forest ranks first place for best mushroom store.
Address: 487 Davie Street, Vancouver, BC
Cybin Wellness appears to be a new physical location for a formerly online-only enterprise. Advertising themselves as selling plant-based botanicals for body & mind, Cybin’s website also appears to sell weed and ships Canada-wide. Talk about the best of both worlds!
Address: 2869 Commercial Drive, Vancouver, BC
These guys claim to be one of Canada’s first One of Canadas' first psilocybin naturopaths, and are open everyday from 10 a.m to 11 p.m. to make sure you can get your shrooms (and adjacent goodies) almost anytime you need them. In addition to the usual psychedelic wares, Shroom House uses their oft-banned Instagram to advertise the non-psychedelic things on offer, from nootropic functional mushroom coffee to Lion’s Mane supplements and more.
Address: 651 East Hastings Street, Vancouver, BC
This list wouldn’t be complete without the first and oldest shop in the game. Dana Larsen has been a plant medicine advocate for a long time, starting with cannabis (he opened up a medicinal cannabis dispensary in 2008) and now into psychedelics. The shop was founded in 2019, and sells DMT vapes, Amanita muscaria, dried psilocybin mushrooms, peyote cacti, mushroom teas, and more. In addition to a storefront, they also offer Canada-wide shipping. Want to shop here? Apply for membership first, then the store is your oyster.
Address: 247 W Broadway
Cannabis and psychedelic activist Dana Larsen has opened up a second location of his Medicinal Mushroom Dispensary in Vancouver in February 2023. This new shop is smaller than the original, but offers a similarly robust menu, from coca leaves to microdose capsules to DMT pens to classic dried shrooms. This dispensary is one of the few offering sales of as little as a gram of the stuff, as most shops require you to purchase at least three. A true one-stop shop for the drug connoisseur.
Address: 1717 Davie Street, Vancouver, BC
A barbershop and a magic mushroom dispensary offering same day delivery in metro Vancouver. Might seem like a bit of a weird combo, but why not? It’s Canada!
Note: They have currently suspended in-person pickup and the showroom due to licensing issues, but we hope to see that resolved soon!
Address: 1181 Granville Street, Vancouver, BC
Operating similarly to all other brick-and-mortar mushroom dispensaries, Zoomers requests potential customers to apply for membership and self-diagnose with an ailment that psilocybin could offer help for before being allowed to shop there. Their product offerings are vast and impressive– edibles and tinctures are available in all forms, from elixirs to chocolates to candies, and raw mushroom strains number around 30, according to Insider’s last visit there.
Address: 925 Seymour Street, Vancouver, BC
Opened in 2021, Fungi Shop is woman-owned and caters to those looking for a recreational experience or beginning a journey in microdosing. The shop features beautiful mushroom art by local artists. Owner Kaitie Degen offers sweet treats, gummies, chocolate bars, and more.

Fun Guyz is the newest magic mushroom store to open up in Toronto, setting up shop in the city’s west end. The company makes clear its intention to help Torontonials to “focus/guide/heal,” and its bright outdoor signage lists it as a “medical dispensary.” Fun Guyz offers the usual mushroom goods, from dried shrooms and Wonka brand bars and mushroom hazelnut spread to their own in-house branded microdose capsules, and even have delivery options to those in the surrounding areas of Mississauga and North York.
Address: 357 Spadina Ave
This Chinatown location of Fun Guyz is perfect for commuters who want to make a quick stop or for folks who find the west and east end locations a bit too far to get to. It’s open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and sells the usual mushroom and psychedelic fare– whole, dried psilocybin mushrooms, mushroom chocolate bars, and a whole host of other edibles for newbies and experienced explorers alike.

Fun Guyz is addressing a longstanding Toronto need with their first-ever east end location. From raw shrooms to a wide variety of edibles (including vegan-friendly chocolate!), Fun Guyz has all the goods. Open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and super close to Pape subway station, this accessible shop is surely a welcome addition to the neighborhood.
Address: 488 Queen Street West, Toronto, ON
We were the first on the scene to cover Shroomyz’s expansion to Toronto– this isn’t the store’s first location– that one is over in the nation’s capital, Ottawa. It’s cute, small, and colourful, and features a bright, custom mural depicting the Toronto skyline and the shop’s name, as well as some mushroom lights and green, cozy decor. Like Zoomer’s and Dana Larsen’s dispensaries, Shroomyz requires a membership application before allowing shoppers to purchase product, and, currently, only takes cash. Don’t have any? Don’t worry– they’ve got an ATM inside to make sure you’re never left wanting. Raw mushrooms, microdoses, mushroom tea and more are all made available and at your disposal.
Editor’s Note: Shroomyz Toronto was raided by the police on November 13th, 2022. See story here.
Address: 563 Yonge Street, Unit 103
Shroomyz’s second Toronto location opened Dec 14, a month after their first location got raided by police. This stop boasts much of the same vibe as the first one– located on busy, central Yonge Street, the inside also features a mural and mushroom-themed decor and neon lights, as well as Shroomyz merch, and in-house branded microdose capsules, raw shrooms, and mushroom tea.
Address: 4584 Queen Street
Make your visit to Niagara Falls a bit more trippy by adding a pit stop at this fifth Fun Guyz dispensary to your itinerary. Located right in the heart of the excitement of the Falls, this shop is Niagara’s first brick-and-mortar dispensary, selling dried mushrooms, chocolates, and other edibles for curious folks. Whether you’re looking for medical or recreational reasons, this easy-to-access store has what you need.
Address: 67 Holland Street W.
Yet another stop for the Fun Guyz chain, their Bradford location is situated in a corner home with big mushroom graphics covering the windows. Despite an initial police raid upon opening, a Fun Guyz representative says that they plan to re-open and be a part of the community.
In an interview with Bradford Today, Reggie Floyd, a Fun Guyz spokesperson says he’s “been many times” and that he thinks “ it’s a beautiful place” for a location. “Bradford’s also ended up becoming one of the best locations we have.”
At the moment, the Bradford location is only offering curbside pickup, but that’ll likely change going forward. Watch this space!
Address: 363 Preston Street, Unit 1, Ottawa, Ontario
The original Shroomyz still shines bright like a diamond in Canada’s capital. Opened in May 2022, it’s faced no legal troubles and continues to operate to this day, even expanding, as we’ve mentioned, to Ontario capital and cultural hub, Toronto. Shroomyz currently offers six strains, and sells raw mushrooms starting from seven grams.
Address: 399 Dalhousie Street, Ottawa, Ontario
The Golden Teacher calls itself a “grey area research facility” and sells various mushroom products to those interested. They recently launched their own trip-accompanying product– Shroom Notes, for jotting down all your wavy thoughts. The Golden Teacher comes highly recommended– conversations and reviews on Reddit say the staff are knowledgeable and kind, and the store is clean and well-mainted. The Golden Teacher also sells regular, functional mushroom products– things like chaga tea and immunity-boosting tinctures come to mind– in addition to psilocybin products.
Address: 1351 Grant Avenue, San Francisco, CA
A “smart shop” is a term used for a store that sells legal ethenogens, after-party care, and other things adjacent to drug use, but not outwardly selling drugs. While America still teeters between votes on decriminlization across states, some folks are taking matters into their own hands, and opening up shop however they can. Professor Seagull’s Smart Shop is located in San Francisco, and sells psychoactive wares like Egyptian Blue Lotus, African Dream Seed, kratom, and more.
Address: 1216 10th Ave, Oakland, CA
Technically a church, Zide Door supports the “safe access and use of Entheogenic Plants” and follows a nondenominational, interfaith religion called The Church of Ambrosia. In order to access psilocybin, you must be a member, and in order to be a member, you have to apply, be 18+, and sign a declaration that you are both not a member of law enforcement and that you accept entheogenic plants as part of your religion. Zide Door boats over 40,000 members, and sells psilocybin in the back of the church, in any shape from raw to chocolate.
Address: 1714 E 7th Ave, Tampa, FL
A hemp dispensary has now turned its sights onto another legal substance– the beloved and now rising in popularity Amanita muscaria. Imported from Lithuania and sold by Chillum in gummies, capsules, and powders, the Amanita is completely legal in every US state except Louisiana. Apparently, Chillum also sells a mycology kit that buyers could (theoretically) use to grow their own psilocybin.
Join us for our launch event on July 18th, where we’ll share about the work we’ll be doing together to actualize our personal missions, grow, and heal together.
