Jake Paul Joins the Roster of Celebrities Who Have Taken Ayahuasca

It looks like Aaron Rodgers had a famous guest on one of his remarkable trips. During an interview with Fox News Digital, the famous YouTuber, Jake Paul, who is now also making his name in the boxing ring, recently shared that he was part of the entourage during one expedition and accompanied Rodgers as they pursued the hallucinogenic ayahuasca plant.

“Aaron and I were actually together when we did the ayahuasca,” Paul said. “He’s more publicly known for speaking about it, but I was actually there with him when we did it. We spent the week there doing it. Definitely share that similarity in terms of spirituality and reflecting and going into the deepest parts of the mind. Definitely have been doing some of that.”

Rodgers first spoke of his ayahuasca experience on the Aubry Marcus podcast, where he discussed past ayahuasca retreats he’d attended in Peru and Costa Rica. Rodgers’ revelation led to a few questions, namely: could Rogers’ actions could be considered a violation of the NFL’s drug policy? It was quickly determined that no, they could not.

In a primetime interview with Fox Sports Sunday last year, Rodgers suggested that his use of ayahuasca, at least in part, “allowed me to… have a greater love for the game that I play [and] greater love for my teammates.” Rogers also noted that he’d had “maybe my best season of my career in 2020” before following it up last year “with an even greater integration of a lot of those lessons.”

Following an agonizingly close defeat to Tommy Fury in February, Paul is trying to determine his next move. To assist him with this decision-making process he has been inspired by Rodgers’ own evaluation of himself; which entailed a whole week devoted alone in full seclusion while pondering over his NFL career.

This is not the first time the boxer shares that he’s taken ayahuasca. In episode 338 of IMPAULSIVE, the boxer shared how his ayahuasca experience allowed him to see the butterfly effect and to understand how “every little movement” that he does “has an effect” on the world and the people who watch his content.

“During my ayahuasca experience, I got to see the butterfly effect of my career and my influence over kids and boxing. It painted this illusion of kids watching me through their TVs and phones, and then the next day, they would be motivated to go to the gym and become boxers. Because I was able to vividly see and emotionally feel this during the ayahuasca ceremony, my viewpoint on that exact thing changed.”
